Early Summer's Garden

I've never had my own garden before.

(Potted herbs aside.)

This summer we decided to play around with the bit of earth that we have.

And do some planting.

In surprise [or shock] to us all, our garden has flourished! While the gardens around us have not?!?

Who knew my little secret would make all the difference:

Watering.

I have fallen in love with the fuschia.

I'm keeping the babies away from the fragrant (though poisonous) oleanders.

The greens for our salad are still untested.

The sunflowers are still growing.

But the herbs are heaven.

The experience of fresh peppermint tea, in particular, may not be overstated.

Are you going to have veggie tales for us in September?

Hi Justy! We are going to give you anything you want.

I think you need to teach gram to comment. She had some good tips and observations!

...and no Gram, those are salad greens, not weeds! :)
